Responsibilities
  • 1. Consumer Financial Services

    Credit Cards: OCBC Cards is part of the lifestyle group responsible for unsecured products. The business is responsible for product development, acquisition, retention, product positioning and sales. There is opportunity to learn the end to end aspects of marketing within the cards group. The cards business is the centre of excellence for cobrands and partnership. The business aims to be one of the top three in the market whilst striving to be the most profitable cards business in Singapore.

    Customer Analytics & Decisioning: Group Customer Analytics & Decisioning (GCAD) uses data to better understand OCBC’s customer base and generate actionable insights. These insights are used across the consumer banking franchise by all product, segment and channel managers to ensure that segment & product offerings are founded on changing customer needs & behaviours. This is to also ensure that our communications are always timely & relevant, and front line staff are empowered with information to better serve customers. Thus, we institutionalise knowledge of the customer and are systematic in executing cross-sell, retention & service opportunities wherever possible.

  • 2. Finance

    Management Information Systems (MIS) Management Associate

    The role requires the candidate to be involved in the enhancement of enterprise wide MIS infrastructure and operationalisation of Basel II internal capital adequacy assessment process. The MIS MA program will provide excellent opportunities for MAs to learn and apply leading concepts and techniques in risk-adjusted performance measurements and ICAAP. It is designed for MAs with strong conceptual, analytical and quantitative skills to further enhance these skills and sharpen business acumen in analyzing customer/product profitability profiles, customer segmentation and internal capital adequacy to enhance the Bank's decision-making capabilities. For those with strong IT inclinations, you may also assume analyst positions to enhance the MIS data and system infrastructure. It is intended that MA candidates on the MIS track eventually assume different roles within the MIS & Capital Planning Department, with a view to assume leadership roles.

  • 3. Human Resources

This role calls for individuals who are creative and resourceful in bringing value-added solution to support our business growth and expansion.

  • 4. Operations

    As an Operations Management Associate, you will be part of a dynamic team to prudently manage risks by reducing operational errors. You will also ensure compliance with established policies and guidelines while striving to achieve economies of scale by integrating operational activities. The Operations team plays a crucial role in the bank's success by ensuring support is provided promptly to all the Business Units - namely Treasury, Securities, Trade, Loans, Cards, Payment and Investment. There are opportunities to gain in-depth exposure to these products and its processes. You will also be given the opportunity to undertake various projects and to gain exposure to Quality management tools.

  • 5. Risk Management

    As a Risk Management Associate, you will be part of a team of risk managers who oversees the management of credit, market and operational risk for the Bank and its financial subsidiaries and protect the Group against losses that could arise from taking risks beyond its risk appetite. At the end of the programme, you can be posted to one of the departments such as Asset Liability Management, Credit Risk (Consumer & Corporate), Market Risk, Operational Risk or Risk Portfolio Management.

  • 6. Treasury

    The Global Treasury Division is looking for suitable candidates with relevant or related exposure in one or more of the following functions: Treasury Advisory, Treasury Asset Liability Management, Trading, Business Management Unit and Product Development. Candidates with previous treasury or financial services experience would be ideal, but this is no means exclusive. The candidate must exhibit a high level of learning agility to thrive in this role, as well as a highly numerate mind.

  • 7. Group Investments

    OCBC Investment Research: We are looking for candidates who have a passion for the research work to join OCBC Investment Research in the areas of equities, futures & forex, and economic research. You should be highly analytical with a strong understanding of the mechanics of the financial markets. It is preferred that you be familiar with financial reporting, modelling and valuation, as the role involves detailed analysis of the performance of listed companies, forecasting of future earnings and making recommendations on the investment position for the security of the companies being research on.

    Group Investment Banking:Group Investment Banking (GIB), comprises Capital Markets, Corporate Finance and Mezzanine Capital. The role in GIB requires the individuals to work with various business units to identify business opportunities in these areas and to develop and customise investment banking products and services to meet customers' requirements. We are looking for candidates with demonstrable career achievements, strong analytical and communication skills, intellect and tenacity. You should also an eye for business opportunities and the interest in bringing concepts to fruition.

    Corporate Development: Corporate Development Department supports the Bank Group in identifying potential strategic investment opportunities and monitoring and managing its existing investments. We are looking for candidates with demonstrable career achievements, strong analytical and communications skills, with an eye for business opportunities. Familiarity with the regional financial markets will be an added advantage.

Requirements

  • A Masters degree from a reputable university
  • Between 2 - 6 years of full-time work experience
  • In addition to academic excellence, you must have a demonstrated track record of achievements in non-academic pursuits with outstanding qualities such as leadership potential, communication skills and strong business sense
