Responsibilities

Long Description :
Engineer, Field Engineer
Basic Function :
Prepare resource planning, project planning, cost estimating, schedule development, schedule control and performance reporting in developing the project plan and assist superior with information, in order to achieve division and company's objective in Underground Mining.


Job Responsibility :
1. Coordinate with related Engineering group for drawings delivery, in order to prepare and calculate manpower,
equipment and materials schedule of UG Construction to ensure the time frame of construction.
2. Prepare manpower and equipment scheduling (resource leveling) of UG Construction based on approved project list
to be reported to superior for further action as a baseline for decision and control and also as a tool to optimize and effective manpower and equipment utilization, justification for additional/reduction resources, and to schedule project implementations.
3. Monitor and ensure all material requirements and availability at field during construction by preparing the bill of material and keep filed all requirements.
4. Coordiante with LIP and Material Management to expedite the materials requirement to ensure the correct materials are prepared for the construction.
5. Coordinate with other groups for the area
readiness/handover to ensure area available for the construction activity.
6. Coordinate with UG Construction area manager and superior in order to prepare the construction monthly goals to ensure
the construction are properly done.
7. Prepare handover documents of UG Construction for every completed project to be used as a formal documentation of project closure by submitted to the clients for final
acceptance approval.
8. Monitor performance againts the project baseline and maintain project baselines.
9. Prepare and assist superior in providing the "S-Curve" for every approved construction schedule as a tool to monitor and control construction performance, compare with the actual performance, analyze variance and give feedback to field construction and area manager to improve
performance, in order to achieve project completion ahead or on schedule.
10. Provide information to superior for further action in preparing monthly rolling schedule, monthly requirement of
manpower, equipment, concrete pouring schedule and target milestone, and weekly and monthly project progress report preparation, updated summary, construction narrative.
11. Prepare performance reports to assess issues that may
cause future problems and issues involving scope changes, schedule performance and cost performance.
12. Collecting historical information about previous project to be used in preparing the project plan and support the
preparation of the project plan and its base documents and identify methods to be used for activity sequencing.
13. Maintain project and product documentation of UG Construction, e.g. (Handover documents, drawings, FCN,
FDCN, Work Order, etc.), in order to ensure the availability and reliability of those materials.
14. Attend construction safety meeting at least once a week and participate in Safety Accountability Program to ensure
compliance to all safety regulations on the job.
The key challenges in this position include:
° Ability to develop and maintain resources effectiveness by performing resources leveling, to eliminate undesirable peaks in demand and/or idle or standby time for certain resources. This is required a comprehensive knowledge of all construction schedules and drawing and material delivery.
° Ability to forecast as early as possible any possibility of project delays, analyze and recommend creative ideas how to catch up the delay.
° Monitor and control actual progress and schedule, a Scheduler is required to communicate target and motivate responsible person for activity, which appear behind schedule to follow schedule and will not affect other activities.

Requirements

The background, education, and work experience needed to succeed in this job are:
Minimum Education and Experience
° Bachelor Degree (S1) in Engineering with 2 years working experience as scheduler or project control in construction project, or equivalent of education and experience.
